Admission requirements of Soarstar College of Nursing

The following are the requirements for admission into Soarstar college or nursing 

  1. Academic Qualification: to be considered for admission, you must attain five credits in particular subjects in the following subjects:- English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics in not more than two sittings
  2. Age: You must be between 16 years and above before being eligible for admission into the college 
  3. Pass Entrance exam: You must write and pass the CBT exam that will be conducted by the college 
  4. Pass oral interview: after passing the written exam, you will be invited for an oral exam, successfully passing this exam will lead to you being admitted to study at the college.

Nursing Programs at Soarstar College of Nursing 

Soarstar College of Nursing offers the following nursing programs. 

Basic Nursing

This is a three-year(3-year), six-semester Basic Nursing program approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). At the end of this 3-year program, our students will be awarded Diploma qualification in General Nursing (Registered Nurse) by The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Furthermore, upon graduation, students will be licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria to practice Nursing in Nigeria.

The curriculum is designed to meet the highest standards of nursing education and is continuously updated to reflect the latest evidence-based practices in the healthcare sector.

The Department of Basic Nursing is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including modern classrooms, simulation labs, and skills practice areas. These facilities provide students with the resources they need to excel in their studies and prepare for success in their nursing careers.

Basic Midwifery Program

This is a three-year(3-year), six-semester Basic Midwifery Nursing program approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). 

At the end of this 3-year program, our student will be awarded Diploma qualification in Midwifery (Registered Midwife) by The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Furthermore, upon graduation, students will be licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria to practice and work as Midwives in Nigeria.

Intensive care Nursing

Post Basic Nursing Program

Soarstar College of Nursing offers a post-basic nursing program to qualified (Registered Midwives) who want to become a registered nurse (RN). 

This Post Basic Nursing program is 18 months, 3 semesters program approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) and is run by Soarstar College of Nursing Sciences.

Post Basic Midwifery Program

The Post Basic Midwifery Program at Soarstar College is an 18-month, 3-semester program approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

This program is suitable for Registered Nurses (RN) who have completed their 3 years Diploma program in Nursing and want to specialize in Midwifery and become Registered Midwives (RM)

Accident and Emergency Nursing 

The duration of this nursing program is 18 3 semesters and is awaiting approval by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN.

Upon graduation, students will be licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and work as a Registered Accident & Emergency Nurse in Nigeria.
