Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery is a public Nursing School located in Kafanchan, Kaduna State. The College was established after Law No: 38 of 2018 was enacted in Kaduna State.

The enacted law led to the merging of the College of Nursing Kafanchan and the College of Midwifery Tudun Wada Kaduna to become one College offering nursing and midwifery programs.

Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery operates a multi-campus system, with three campuses in Tudun Wada, Kafanchan, and Pambegua. The last campus is specifically used to train Nurses.

The aim of the nursing school is to prepare competent, skilled, versatile, and independent Nursing and Midwifery practitioners who are capable of providing high-level health care to individuals and expectant families in the homes, communities, health centers, hospitals, and clinics in the rural and urban areas of Kaduna state.

  3. Meet JAMB Requirements: To be able to study at the college, you must have Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery as your first choice and score a minimum of 150 aggregate points in the following subjects in your JAMB Exam:- Use of English, Chemistry, and Physics

The following are the nursing programs offered at Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery.

ND Nursing 

ND Nursing is a two-year non-terminal program that equips one with the nursing skills needed to start a career as a nurse. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to write the registered nursing exam to qualify as Professional Registered Nurses. 

General Nursing 

In the General Nursing Program at Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery, you will be taught the basic nursing skills and treatment of a variety of illnesses and injuries.

General nurses can work in the emergency room where they may not know what type of illness the patient has. Some of the duties General Nurses perform include Physical examinations, collecting samples, Analyzing results, educating patients, and providing support. 

Basic Midwifery 

The Basic Midwifery Program equips you with the principles and practices of midwifery care for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

The Basic Midwifery is 3 years, 6 semesters and is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)

Post Basic Nursing
