1. Academic Requirement: You must possess a minimum of five credits in your O’Level result ( WAEC, NECO, NABTEB) in not more than two sittings in the following subjects:- Mathematics, English, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry

Basic Nursing and Midwifery 

The Basic Nursing and Midwifery program is a three-year program that equips one with the basic nursing and midwifery skills needed to become a registered nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) upon graduation.

During the program, you will be exposed to a lot of nursing experience and clinical practice that will make you competent in the nursing field. 

Post Basic Midwifery 

This is an 18-month nursing program approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) to help midwives who seek to become a Registered Nurse.

The program focuses on practical skills, knowledge acquisition, and clinical experience aimed at preparing midwives for the role of a registered nurse.

Qualified students  who have completed basic nursing/midwifery training and completed an approved post-basic nursing specialty can apply for post-basic midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)

Community Midwifery 

The community midwifery program is aimed at training professional midwives who will provide care for women throughout their pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum period in homes, clinics, or community health care centers rather than in the hospitals.

Community midwives typically undergo specialized training and education, including practical experience in community settings, to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive midwifery care.

The duration of the Community midwifery program is 24 months ( 2 years)

Post Basic Nursing

This program is specifically designed for those who have a basic nursing education. The program aims to help them advance their career and develop expertise in a particular area of nursing practice.

The Post Basic Nursing program runs for a period of 18 months after which a professional certification will be issued to graduates.

Community Nursing 

This is a 24-month (2 years) nursing program that tends to equip students with the competent nursing skills needed for them to promote, and protect the health of populations outside of traditional hospital settings, encompassing various community settings like homes, schools, and community centers. 

A community Nurse can work in diverse healthcare sectors such as homes, schools, churches, government agencies, and community health centers.
