The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has just announced the date for the commencement of the 2025/2026 JAMB Examination.

This year’s examination will be quite different and unique compared to other years.

JAMB Registration is the first thing you need to do if you are seeking admission into any tertiary institution in Nigeria including Universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

JAMB Registration not only qualifies you to sit for the JAMB Exam but also connects you to opportunities for further education.

JAMB has released the 2025/2026 registration date and guidelines to make the application process very simple for applicants who want to register for UTME or Direct Entry. 

Early JAMB registration is very important and highly recommended to avoid last-minute rush or errors and also ensureyou secure your preferred exam centers and dates.

JAMB 2025/2026 Registration Date and Guidelines

Eligibility Requirements for 2025/2026 JAMB 

For you to be eligible for the 2025/2026 JAMB exam, you must meet the following requirements. 

  1. Age limit: You must be at least 16 years old in the year you want to gain admission into any tertiary institution of your choice 
  2. Educational level: You must have finished secondary school and have your O’Level results, your result should contain at least five credits in relevant subjects. These subjects include English, Mathematics, and the other three subjects needed for the course you want to study. 
  3. UTME Candidates: UTME is for students who want to start at 100 level in a university or gain admission into a polytechnic or college of Education. You can obtain from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB to register. 
  4. Direct Entry: Direct entry is for students who want to start 200 levels in the University. To qualify, you must have one of the following.
    1. A diploma or NCE certificate with good grades
    2. At least two passes in A-level subjects that match your course
    3. An IJMB result with the required points for admission 

Documents Needed for 2025/2026 JAMB Registration

For you to register for the 2025/2026 JAMB, you are to provide the following documents and information. 

  1. National Identification Number (NIN): this is an 11-digit number that identifies you as a citizen of Nigeria, you can obtain your NIN from any NIMC enrollment center or through the NIMC Mobile app. The NIN is needed to be ableto create your JAMB profile and also register for the examination. 
  2. JAMB Profile Code: This is a 10-digit number that is generated by JAMB after you send your NIN to 55019 or 66019 as a text message. Your JAMB profile code is needed so you can be able to purchase your JAMB e-pin and complete your registration at any accredited CBT center. 
  3. Phone Number: you will need a valid and active phone number to create your JAMB Profile and to receive important updates from JAMB. This phone number should be used throughout the application and exam period.
  4. Email Address: You also need a valid and functional email address to create your JAMB Profile and access your JAMB portal 
  5. O’Level/A’ Level Result: You need to have obtained your O’Level results before applying for JAMB, you can use either your WAEC, NECO,  NABTEB, or GCE. If you haven’t gotten any of these results yet, you can register with awaiting results but ensure you get them before you can be given admission. 
  6. JAMB ePIN: This is a unique code that you need to pay for and obtain from any authorized channels such as banks, online payment platforms, USSD codes, private individuals, etc. The ePIN costs N3,500 and it’s valid for one registration only. 
  7. Bio-Data: You need to provide your details, such as your full name, date of birth, gender, state of Origin, Local Government, passport photograph, biometric, and signature.

Subject Combination for Nursing in JAMB

The subject combination for nursing in the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exam are

  • Use of English 
  • Biology 
  • Chemistry 
  • Physics

You are expected to obtain a minimum score of 200 in your JAMB before you can be admitted by any university for your nursing degree program.

Guidelines on How to Register for JAMB 2025

To register for JAMB 2025/2026, here are the guidelines you need to follow

  1. Obtain NIN: Obtain your National Identification Number (NIN) from a NIMC enrollment center or through the NIMC all
  2. Create JAMB Profile: Create your JAMB on the JAMB Portal using your NIN, a valid email address, and a personal phone number, you will receive a confirmation code on your phone and email which you can use to verify your profile.
  3. Purchase your JAMB ePIN: You are to purchase your ePIN from any of the authorized channels such as banks, online payment platforms, USSD code, or directly from Mr. Godstime (08167005745). The ePIN costs N3,500 andit’s valid for a single registration. In addition to the ePIN cost, you are required to pay N700 directly to the CBT center for registration, N1,500 for the main UTME examination, and an extra N1,500 if you choose to take the optional Mock-UTME 
  4. Visit JAMB Registration Centre: Visit any accredited JAMB CBT center near you with your ePIN and other documents such as your O’Level certificate (if available), Passport photograph, and biometric verification. You will be given a registration form to fill out and submit 
  5. Print out: after completing your registration at the JAMB CBT center, you will be given a printout of your registration slip which will contain your personal information, exam schedule, exam center, and a CD containing the JAMB Syllabus and e-brochure 
  6. Prepare for Exam: You are to prepare for the exam by studying the JAMB syllabus and past questions. You can also practice with the JAMB CBT app or online Platform. The recommended Novel for English is “ Life Changer” by Khalid A. Jalli.
  7. Reprint Exam Slip: Reprint your exam slip from the JAMB portal or from your email address seven days before your exam date. The exam slip will show your exam date, time, and center.
  8. Arrive at your Exam venue On Time: on the of your exam, you are to arrive at your exam venue at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time alongside your exam slip, face mask, NIN slip, and writing materials 
  9. Check Exam Result: you can check your JAMB result by visiting the JAMB portal or via SMS by sending “RESULT” to 55019 from the phone number you used during your JAMB registration. You will be charged N50 to access your JAMB result from your phone.

JAMB 2025/2026 Registration Date and Deadline

The 2025/2026 JAMB Registration commences on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, to Wednesday, February 26th, 2025. You are advised to register early to avoid any errors that you will encounter during late registration.

JAMB 2025/2026 Registration Amount 

The total amount for the 2025/2026 JAMB Registration is N7,200 with the mock exam and N5,700 without the Mock exam. The registration fee can be broken down into the following 

  • ePIN purchase: N3,500
  • Examination fee: N1,500
  • Registration fee: N700
  • Mock exam exam(optional): N1,500

JAMB 2025/2026 Exam Date and Mode

The JAMB UTME for 2025/2026 will commence on Friday, 18th April 2025, and will run until Monday, 28th April 2025.

The exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode at various accredited centers across the country.
